Wise Words
When you are describing,

A shape, or sound, or tint;

Don't state the matter plainly,

But put it in a hint;

And learn to look at all things,

With a sort of mental squint.

~Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (Lewis Carroll)

Ok, the Daisy shirts one from "Great Gatsby" is hilarious because in the story she's crying while talking about the beautiful shirts. And "it takes two to make an accident" is just kind of a saying that I think should be a little more common. And both of the "Great Expectations" quotes are great because of irony.

"Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions.
Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great."

"Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months."

"Every portrait that is painted with feeling is a portrait of the artist, not of the sitter."

"Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much."

"Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask, and he will tell you the truth."

-All from Oscar Wilde. I love that man. I love you

The bolded one is one I can relate to personally, since I am an artist.

Awesome quotes, twinnie Nabbers! ;D

Another quote that I love:

'Come to the edge', he said.
They said, 'We are afraid'
'Come to the edge', he said
They came
He pushed them... and they flew.
