| A good book without romance: Cry of the Icemark (it's super minor, just a couple lines and just two adolescents feeling the beginning of love). It's also a series. The Golden Compass- the only romance plays more of a part in the later part of the series, and it's not major The Goose Girl- the Bayern series has romance, but it's not major. Heir Apparent The Heir series (like Warrior Heir)- there is romance, but it's mostly an action-packed series Tamora Pierce (author) In general, prefer books where romance doesn't play a major part If you're talking about books with romance more central to it.... Twilight is popular Go to the Teens section of the bookstore and find a book with a dark cover (there's a high chance it'll be about a forbidden love) Some classics with romance Pride and Prejudice Sense and Sensibility Little Women (or any book by Jane Austen) | |

| I would suggest the Uglies series except that there is some romance there, though it is not the main focus of the plot by far. Another book is Perfume, there is absolutely NO romance in this story whatsoever besides that of a man and innocence. | |

| I LOVE the Artemis Fowl series. I still need to read a couple and maybe reread the earlier ones to refresh my memory after years of not reading them >.< | |

| Hahaha I keep the entire series on my nightstand as a quick read before I sleep O.O It takes 1 hour to read almost over 100 pages :DDDD And it's a good warm-up for any sort of essay or english-related text. Not to mention it introduces new ideas of technology and several random facts about the world, like Taipei. | |

| Nice. I like reading lots of different works.
I want to get reading The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls soon. I've also read the Heir Trilogy, Heir Apparent (not related to Heir trilogy!), ...and so many other books! I LOVE reading. | |

| The inkspell series doesn't have ANY romance in it, you are right, Jay. The only love displayed is between family members. | |
