Recently I read the book "A Company of Swans" by Eva Ibbotson. Its a historical romance story that takes place in 1912 with a ballet dancer named Harriet who lives with her father (an English professor) and her spinster aunt. When she is offered a chance to tour with a ballet company in South America, she finds a way to escape her family and the man who is trying to marry her. While there, Harriet begins to learn just how much of a dancer she really is, while her family and almost-fiance track her down.
