| I neither hate nor especially love Twilight, but I just want to see what you all think. Twilight is becoming big. It has lots of merchandise.
Has anyone heard there's a Twilight credit card coming out even? For "fashionable shopping."

| Hmmm, I personally didn't really like the series that much (and yet for some strange reason I own the books). I understand why there is so much hype, but whether it is deserved or not is extremely questionable.
Dayuuuuum a credit card... wonder what's next...

Dayuuuuum a credit card... wonder what's next... I think that this is because girls want to know that ordinary girls like them can meet a fantastic guy and love each other with all their power.... Personally, I don't understand what's the fuss about Twilight either, but hey. We are all entitled to our own opinions.

I guess the books provide an ideal world, a world in which ordinary girls would love to live in. xD, that's true, but still, I read the books before the hype began and I didn't actually enjoy them that much... guess I should read them again xD

| Yeah, books and movies idealize the world. That's why the everyday person likes to read and watch them. It gives them fantasies that rarely if never happen in reality. | |

| The writing in Twilight is horrible. (I only read the first book). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2L253VLwH3w That playlist is quite good if you want someone mocking twilight in far more detail than I ever will. :p (Warning: Swearing, not sure if it's allowed on this site) - Kris wrote:

| It will be used as a stress reliever for Twilight haters, but as a life saver/floaty for Twilight (Edward) lovers. | |

Maybe this is just me, but I'd prefer a more masculine guy. Sparkles don't exactly reek masculinity...

| I don't want someone too buff, either! But yeah, sparkles are just... out of this world. Someone's going to burn his or her eyes out looking at that. | |

| Exactly what I'm thinking. And have you heard about kids biting each other now? Its become a vampire fad, and its cool to bite each other, leaving a mark and drawing blood. Yikes! | |

| I know, and after taking first aid, I learned that human bites can cause more infection than a dog bite (unless Rabies is involved) | |

| Hahahahahahahaahahahaahahaha Literally choked on laughter scrolling through this xDDDD Personally I believe girls love Edward as a feminine figure. The timing was perfect when the book came out, the government began issuing rape kits to women in the country ^^ I believe that contributed to the popularity of the Twilight series. Oh and Naomi you're awesome <3 :DDDD Best way to kill a vampire I've ever heard of yet xD And if I kid bit me I would smack the **** out of them No offense to any Twilight fads here... And yea, I sorta figured human bites cause more infections I just figured that because animals don't have STD's and humans have enough to share O.O | |

| Is swearing allowed on this site...? So because I don't want to mindlessly scream at Twilight without actually making some intelligent comments that could actually help people write better themselves, I read the entire series. Yeah. That's right. Mmmkay, literary kritik on Twilight! :DDDDD 1. OH MY GOD the CHARACTERS are SO ****** two-dimensional that they're flatter than Stanley the pancake kid. Or whatever that one book was called....right, flat Stanley. I mean, they have no emotional depth whatsoever. They are described mostly to get a good idea of how they look, and then they DON'T change. They are both 2-dimensional AND static throughout the book- like, nobody has an epiphany or moment of transformation. Bella's transformation doesn't count. She was always a creepy blood-sucker, even if she was just a weaker one at the beginning. >.<" There's no way you can really sympathize with any of the Cullens, because they're too goddamn perfect and don't really have emotional struggles. 2. YAY for a TOTALLY UNDEVELOPED PLOT LINE and NO REAL ANTAGONIST. Okay be honest everyone...did anybody ever feel scared of the Volturi then entire time you were reading the series? Me neither. They were just like...emo super-models. Oh yeah- has anyone ever realized Edward has never actually lost a fight? o.O There are NO low points in the novel, which makes it SUCK. For a story to be entirely gripping, things have to build to the climax, and there have to be points where we feel all is lost...otherwise it just gets boring. 3. The curse of the Mary-Sue strikes us again. Twilight fans have often claimed that "No, Bella isn't a Mary-Sue, she has flaws! Like, she's clumsy!" To this I reply, "**** and go die." But seriously, Bella (and every single other female character in Twilight) is a complete Mary-Sue. We have long thought the definition of "Mary-Sue" to be someone with no flaws, but that is not true. The definition of a Mary-Sue is somebody with no flaws that make them unlikable. Okay, that sounds like an oxymoron because this ends up making the Mary-Sue completely unlikable, but just take it at face value. Bella's clumsiness is actually, in a way, supposed to make her MORE attractive because it makes her rather helpless, which means we must always be rushing to her aid. So. That being said, Twilight needs to go...boil its bottom. | |

| After getting past your language, you have given a perfect description, Rin. I gave your post a +
I feel we must give her some credit for her writing style- The Host is actually good (it has a plot moving it other than romance). I just don't like books where romance is central to the plot. I like action and all.
