Wise Words | When you are describing,
A shape, or sound, or tint;
Don't state the matter plainly,
But put it in a hint;
And learn to look at all things,
With a sort of mental squint.

| I'm running in a circle :DDD Around and around and around. I'm happy. The circle makes me happy. Why am I happy? What is the point of this act? Because everyone else is doing it Around and around and around we all go ^^ Asking someone the purpose of life is an idiotic question in my opinion. Because everyone lives for a reason believed by others, it's the same as a group running around in a circle together. Asking the purpose of life is similar to asking a group of people who can only respond "I'm just following him". That's my standing point on the purpose of life. There most certainly is a reason, but no one actually knows. The circle has gone on so long, the person who started it is probably dead. Conformity is the main issue that blocks us from seeing the purpose in life, and almost affectively destroys the purpose like leaving a clown in the attic for your daughter's next next next birthday. The clown dies and the girl has no idea why she had to behave properly for a good party in 3 years. | |

| I agree, conformity does detract from an individual's idea of the purpose of life. However, I don't agree that most people are just "following the person in front" everyone has their own path. | |

| I disagree The first sentence states that conformity merely deducts the meaning of life from each individual. The second sentence states that conformity cannot change the purpose of life in an individual. What about peer pressure? That often influences morality and actions in a person's life and is a rather large factor. Potential doctors can become hobos on a street taking drugs ^^ | |

| Because not all of us rely on other people's opinions to shape our own, I negate Jay.
I don't believe conformity has to do with why I want to live my life. For instance, the purpose of my life is to take over the world, influence a **** ton of people, and change the world for the better. There aren't a lot of peers that want to do the same thing.
The scientific purpose of life is to reproduce. That's what is scientifically correct. But that's just a circle in and of itself...
I believe that everyone has a different purpose in life. Nobody has the same purpose- otherwise they'd be the same people. We're all living for a reason, although it's true that some people don't know. But. We aren't living just because other people are living- that's basically what Jay is implying. There is something else keeping me alive besides the fact that my friends are alive. That something may not be discovered, but it's definitely there.
After a lot of thought and deliberation, I believe my reason for living is to piss off as many people as possible. Lol. No seriously.
